Policy and Procedure

We must have updated vaccination records and signed agreements before your reservation begins. For convenience you can email or upload them to your account before your arrival. It is not Mutty Paws' responsibility to acquire and ensure vaccinations are up to date before the reservation, although we will assist you in acquiring this documentation if needed. We cannot accept a pet if we do not have proof of their up-to-date vaccinations. If you are unable locate a copy of your pet's records a call to the vet's office that administered the vaccines should help in securing those documents. Veterinarian Offices may not be open when you need to reach them so please plan ahead. Regular customers please send us any copies of updated vaccination records so we can keep your account up to date.

Vaccination Requirements:

• Dogs must have up to date Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. We cannot accept owner administered vaccines, breeder vaccines, or handwritten vaccinations. All vaccination paperwork must have clear dates for re-vaccination, and the records must match the information we have on file.
• Puppies must have completed their last rounds of vaccination before entering any playgroup.
• Expired vaccinations require at least a 5 day wait period for the vaccination to begin to take effect. Full protection can take up to 14 days so renewing vaccinations early is essential for protecting your pet.
• Mutty Paws does not require dogs to be spayed/neutered but it is recommended. Behavioral issues such as excessive humping and aggression are common behaviors with in-tact males. This behavior, if excessive, can disqualify your pet from our Day Play groups and possibly from Boarding and Grooming services. In-tact females are also welcome but must NOT be in heat or approaching their heat cycle.

Please Note: There is a 3.5% processing fee on all card transactions. Customers who bring in a valid check or cash as payment will save some money by avoiding this fee. A $35.00 fee will apply to any check written with insufficient funds.

What to Bring:

• Please have all dogs on a leash during pick up and drop off. Not all dogs in our care are friendly with other dogs. Having them on a leash allows us to have better control over all interactions throughout the facility.
• Your pet's regular food must be stored in an air-tight container. If you forget to pack food or run out, we can provide your pet with our Taste of the Wild brand for a $2 per day fee. Our recommendation is to individually bag and portion meals with your dog's current food which the best way to ensure your dog stays on their normal diet.
• We will provide your pet with blankets and bowls. Please limit personal items such as, toys, bedding, etc. We cannot accept raw hide bones or personal crates.
• Please label the items you bring (collar, leash, tote and food bags, etc).
• Please bring any medications your pet will need in their original pill bottle or a pill sorter for each dog. Be sure to allow extra time at check in if you will be organizing medications and providing instruction to our desk staff at drop off. Administering medications is a $2 per day fee per pet.
